When it gets colder outside...
When it gets colder outside, the days get shorter and winter slowly wraps the landscape in a wintry white blanket, then the most beautiful time of the year begins – Advent.
At the Mallnitzer Bergadvent in the Hohe Tauern National Park, you can expect not only an atmospheric Advent path, but also a colorful children’s program. Even the Christ Child would take a vacation here, because at the Mallnitzer Bergadvent authenticity, quality and tradition are in the foreground.
The Mallnitzer Bergadvent is a conscious counter-world to the hectic pre-Christmas hustle and bustle in the cities. Experience the snow-covered mountain world, listen to the most beautiful Advent songs and let yourself be enchanted by contemplative stories in the Almstube.
Get in the mood for Christmas with the fruity scent of mulled wine, punch and culinary highlights. Enjoy the Mallnitzer Bergadvent with all your senses – Advent like in childhood, Advent like back then.

In addition to our regular stations in the Advent village, we have put together a colorful program of events. Whether it’s a visit from St. Nicholas, musical performances, lectures, or workshops: take a look and come by to experience Advent with us!
Lama hike
We may not have reindeer, but we do have Tauern llamas! Discover the Advent village together with these charming animals and experience unforgettable moments!

Treasure hunt
Help Frida Fuchs solve the puzzle and collect the stamps.
The puzzles are numbered, but you can solve them in any order you like.
Once you have solved all the puzzles correctly, you can collect your treasure. The treasure map is available for €6.00 or as part of the family package at the information hut on the stream promenade (start of the light trail).

Stones on a journey
Join in! You are cordially invited to paint your own stones and send them on their travels.

MAGIC CARPET HOCHOBEN
Sledding with the magic carpet lift – fun you shouldn’t miss out on.
You can warm up with hot drinks at the punch hut.
There is a charge for the magic carpet and sled rental.
GUIDED ADVENT TRAIL TOUR
With mountain guide and Alpine mentor Sylvia Granitzern, you can enjoy a wonderful walk through the Mallnitz Mountain Advent.

On the Advent weekends there is always an Advent market from Friday to Sunday.
The Advent market with its special wooden huts offers a diverse range of products: In the huts culinary Carinthian delicacies can be tasted and handicrafts can be admired.
Winter journey to Advent
By train
You can easily travel to Mallnitz by train from Salzburg or Klagenfurt and start your hike right from Mallnitz-Obervellach station.
By car
The route can also be covered by car.
Parking spaces are available at the train station and in the town center.
Shuttle bus Saturday evening
The shuttle bus provides a convenient way to get home on Saturdays.

Christmas-Express
During opening hours, the winter slow train runs from Mallnitz-Obervellach station via HochOben and the village square to the BIOS National Park Center and back again.

Wir haben zwar keine Rentiere, dafür aber Tauernlamas! Entdecke das Adventdorf gemeinsam mit mit den charmanten Tieren und erlebe unvergessliche Momente!

Hilf Frida Fuchs das Rätsel zu lösen und sammle die Stempel.
Die Rätsel sind nummeriert, du kannst sie jedoch in deiner eigenen Reihenfolge lösen.
Wenn du alle Aufgaben richtig gelöst hast kannst du dir deinen Schatz abholen. Die Schatzkarte bekommst du für 6,00 € oder als Teil des Familienpackages bei der Infohütte an der Bachpromenade (Beginn des Lichterpfads).

Rodeln mit dem Zauberteppich-Lift – ein Spaß den man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte.
Bei der Punschhütte kann man sich mit heißen Getränken aufwärmen.
Zauberteppich und Rodelverleih sind gebührenpflichtig.
